As a Gatwick based cabin crew member, you will look after our customers flying on a wide variety of both long and shorthaul routes, including Jersey, Barbados, Bermuda and the Maldives.
Innovation and change are second nature to us at Gatwick, with frequent additions to our route network. We are able to respond and adapt to changing conditions rapidly and are able to try out new ideas for both customers and colleagues.
So, as we continue to build our future together as one team at Gatwick, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to join us.
Your Training Journey
Safety is vital to our operation and integral to the Cabin Crew role. To fully equip you with the knowledge and understanding of the general procedures and theory behind airline safety for the role of Gatwick Cabin Crew, you will be required to obtain a Cabin Crew Attestation (CCA) before you can commence employment with British Airways. This is an EASA recognised certificate of professional competency which permits you to discharge the duties of Cabin Crew on European Community registered aircraft. Your CCA will be valid for 5 years, however, if you join British Airways as Cabin Crew, this will be revalidated annually as part of your British Airways Cabin Crew Training.
If, following your successful attainment of your CCA, you join British Airways as Cabin Crew, you will be required to commence the British Airways New Entrant Training at our state of the art training facility.
We also offer the opportunity for people who hold a valid EASA attestation to commence the British Airways New Entrant Training without having to undertake the CCA training again.
Your Gatwick, Your Career
As your experience builds, you may be eligible to apply for one of our development programmes, building the skills required to lead our onboard teams. With some experience, you may also opt to develop into other areas, such as training, recruitment, and special events.
