Apprentice Programme Manager - Engineering Aircraft Maintenance
As a global aviation pioneer, we always look to the future at British Airways. So investing in the next generation of talent is a key priority. If you can combine impressive engineering expertise with a passion for learning and development, you could be the ideal talent to manage our Engineering Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship Programme.
We’ll be looking to you to deliver programmes that get the best out of our apprentices. This means equipping them with the tools they need to develop the skills and capabilities to maintain one of the most advanced fleets of any airline – as well as our position as leading brand. Your role will be challenging and wide-ranging, covering everything from meeting regulatory requirements and ensuring training excellence to drawing on people management best practice and striving for continuous improvement.
In short, you’ll put in place a robust portfolio of programmes which add value to the business and optimise the potential of all our apprentices, from onboarding right through to off-programme transition. Effective stakeholder management and a clear training vision will be key, as will the ability to articulate our message to recruit the best and brightest new talent.
Your expertise will cover learning and development design and delivery, as well as working with engineering apprentices and an understanding of the operational environment. You’ll be confident in working across both traditional and digital learning models and combine this with solid commercial awareness. An innovative thinker and creative problem solver, you’ll understand the logistics of a complex operational environment and have a good grasp of project management principles.
