Keeping more than 40,000 employees around the world up-to-date with developments affecting their area and the business is no easy task. But, that’s exactly what the internal communications team at British Airways do, day in, day out. Such is the size of the challenge, we are bolstering our team and have recently created the brand new role of Graphic Design and Production Manager. So, if managing the design studio that produces internal communications for a £multi-billion global business sounds like your ideal next career move, here's your opportunity.
You’ll be leading the team that produces an array of visual content for online, print, digital and social media/collaboration platforms that inform and engage colleagues right across the business. You’ll also make a telling contribution to our channel strategy and take the lead in developing a strategy for our use of video. Using research and industry best practice to recommend and implement developments to reflect new technology and advances in engagement will be important too. And, when the Senior Channels Manager’s not around, we’ll count on you to be an able deputy.
You’ll need to have worked in a similar role in a large company, publishing house or design agency where you’ve managed people and budgets. We’ll also be looking for a strong understanding of internal communications in a corporate environment, a firm grasp of social media and some crisis communication experience. Resilient, responsive and proactive, you have best-in-class video, photography, design and production skills too. What's more, you’re at home managing and developing digital channels and great at turning the complex into simple engaging language. In short, you're just the person we need to help us get our messages out to our people.
As well as a competitive salary, you can look forward to a Total Reward package. Benefits range from competitive pensions and discounted shopping to the opportunity to travel the world as part of Staff Travel.
*N.B. The role could become permanent or extended at the end of 12 months. If this role isn't perfect for you, have a look at the other exciting opportunities within the Communications team currently being advertised.
