Safety and security. These are primary considerations at British Airways. Be that of the passengers we carry to destinations around the world or the people that help make their journeys one they will remember. Preventing, investigating and advising on non-aviation security incidents in order to reduce risk and protect BA assets is a vital business consideration. It’s one that will be your core focus as our Investigation and Security Advisor.
It will be your responsibility to create a one-stop problem-solving solution on issues ranging from security threats and incidents to allegations and reputational and brand issues. Formulating our operational response to these, as well as preventing, spotting and mitigating against them will be down to you. This will require you develop information, research and identify relevant data to support you in your role and play a part in protecting our business as a whole.
People Security and Physical Security policies; investigational response to serious incidents; risk assessments and onsite inspections; estate security standards; data loss and data breach; all these and more will fall within your challenging and wide-ranging remit.
Rising to it will call for a combination of talents: an impressive and experienced investigative mind-set, superb problem-solving, negotiating and influencing skills not being least amongst them. Your background in a similar role for a large organisation will have equipped you with these, as well as the ability to conduct in-depth security reviews, prepare concise reports and work well and to deadlines under pressure.
