At British Airways and our holding company, International Airlines Group (IAG), we work to the highest possible technical standards to guarantee aircraft safety. If you can combine EASA Part-147 experience and knowledge with a solid background in aircraft maintenance, you could take on a key role in our Global Learning Academy (GLA). As the Learning Compliance Manager based at Heathrow, you’ll be an engineering ambassador for the UK’s largest airline and a role model for best practice, helping to ensure we continue to go way beyond industry requirements.

You will set, maintain and manage the GLA Engineering learning quality assurance system and compliance. You will ensure compliance of learning products and interventions through robust processes, audits, oversight and assessment, with primary focus on Part-147 and Part-145 training, standards and supporting the Examinations Manager with the examination and certification process. Always maintaining compliance with EASA regulations, through an effective Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition, training procedures and satisfying internal quality requirements. Regular monitoring of training standards, training recency, approval of specifications and materials. Helping challenge, influence and gain clarity from regulatory authorities liaising directly with the UKCAA on matters of Part-147 compliance.

You will need an in depth knowledge and understanding of the aircraft systems and maintenance environment with hands on experience and a thorough understanding of the Engineering/Aircraft Manuals, procedures and standards, EASA Part-147, -66, -145 and other applicable regulation requirements. You will have an understanding of quality assurance within a learning environment and have served an Aeronautical Apprenticeship or ideally hold the EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance licence and have a willingness to gain further qualifications.

You will have a strong knowledge of health and safety, and the ability to work on multiple projects driven by strong business awareness. Familiarity with IT applications including EWS and Windows-based presentation/word processing packages is also important.
