Leading strategic HR support this role will be pivotal in ensuring the ongoing success of British Airways as leaders in aviation. Working in partnership with key line clients and colleagues in specialist HR teams you will have the scope to make a significant difference.
Acting as a trusted advisor and leading a small team, we will look to you to identify organisational opportunities, and problems that impact on the delivery of a departmental and corporate people strategy. For each challenge you encounter, you will find a workable solution. You’ll also help to develop a departmental people change agenda and a people plan for your client area. This vision will underpin the achievement of directorate objectives, in line with the wider British Airways People Plan. Your action plans will deliver change. Your relationship with the line and support for negotiations and consultations will deliver effective industrial relations (IR). In short, you’ll enjoy a visible impact in this high profile role.
You’ll be a seasoned HR professional, an articulate quick thinker and credible team player. With advanced technical HR and employment law knowledge, you’ll bring a track record of leading and delivering significant people change programmes and people plans. You’ll bring exposure to ER/IR consultation or negotiation, strong influencing skills and the capacity for strategic thinking together with excellent commercial judgement.
